What is our eco-responsible and societal approach?2024-05-22T16:58:35+02:00

It’s strange to say, but in fact we create a toy to consume less toys…

A more durable toy in fact, which will perhaps replace several small purchases, too gadget and less qualitative no doubt. A toy that limits weariness and multiplies the possibilities of amusement. A toy that will be passed on among siblings, in the family, and that can be offered as a second hand. A useful toy, to answer the current problems of lack of imagination, autonomy, isolation, inactivity, and overexposure to screens. An inclusive toy, adapted to all children’s profiles, even with attention or psychomotor disorders. A toy that also thinks about the preservation of our planet, produced in France with materials that are globally less bad than what is currently done. A toy available with our lean production system, a more reasoned mode of consumption where we produce only the quantities sold. A toy made with industrial partners also chosen for their committed and relevant CSR policy.

A toy with a corporate culture that wishes to preserve the quality of life at work of the employees, their physical and mental health, and their personal life. That’s our approach, that’s the choice we make in any case.

We hope that this will speak to you…

Why is inöuqa eco-designed?2024-05-22T16:59:19+02:00

First, inöuqa is made in France. This was our starting point in terms of eco-design. Why did we do this?

To limit our carbon footprint first, and then to promote our territories and know-how. Our materials are not 100% green, it’s true, but recyclable (EPP units, PP plugs) or already partially recycled (EPP ocean modules). This is an added value in our opinion when you look at the current composition of toys children’s shelving. A concept of construction game and materials thought to last… It is always better than single-use or ephemeral plastic coming from the other side of the planet, no?

The lean production system is also a strong point for us: the right quantities, the right prices, little stock, optimized production and logistics, a committed and conscious purchase… so many concrete arguments with a positive impact. In our eyes, this is already good, it is already beneficial. But we want to do better: at each stage of our adventure, of our development, we will try to move the eco-design cursor a little further in the right direction when possible and relevant. This is a commitment we are making.

Are our products 100% Made in France?2024-01-24T17:39:44+01:00

No, but yes… We explain ourselves: the raw materials do not come from France, not all from Europe either, but the manufacturing is done in France, near Grenoble.

We can therefore proudly display the colors of “Made in France”. It was a will since the beginning. But it is not an easy fight, as you can imagine. In order to offer you an innovative and secure toy concept at market prices, we have made choices (materials, connectivity…) involving raw materials that are not found in France, or sometimes in Europe. Not that we had a choice since a local alternative simply does not exist. On the other hand, whenever we have the French option and it respects the idea, the functionality, and an acceptable cost for our customers, we favor it.

In life, it’s all about balance and dosage. We consider that, compared to most of the toys offered worldwide, our recipe is composed of mostly quality ingredients, and, over the years, we want to improve little by little this dimension in our approach.
